Dear MendMeShop,

I am a 44 year-old woman in good health. I eat a fresh diet and take high-quality supplements, including MSM, glucosamine, Zyflamend, and all the usual joint-recomended supplements. I injured both knees two years ago while kneeling to tile my family room and entry. Subsequently, a simple twisting squat ripped my left meniscus with a huge bucket tear that required surgery to trim so it wouldn't keep catching and re-tearing. I am not one to undergo surgery unless it is unavoidable, and even after a "simple" scope operation, it took me a full year to get full extension back on that knee, and I doubt I will ever be able to squat again. I run a cleaning business. A couple of months ago an employee had forgotten to return equipment to my van, and I had to mop some hardwood flooring for a client on my hands and knees. That simple ten-minute job put me back out of commission. The kneeling pre-injured the area, and when I stepped back onto my good leg two days later, I felt that familiar burn of a fresh meniscus tear. I was heartsick, dreading another surgery and the attendant expense, pain, and down time. I know from my previous experience that cartilage is hard to heal because of the poor blood supply, especially to the center. I knew it was just a matter of time before I tore it further. (My dad had multiple knee scopes before finally getting a replacement, but I was not going down that path if I could help it!) I got online and researched alternatives that would get me back on my feet. Delighted to discover Mend Me Shop and their professional athletic healing devices, I ordered the Inferno Wrap and Ice Wrap. $400 would be a pittance relative to the $13,000 it costs to repair a torn meniscus (and that doesn't include rehab and lost income). During the week it took the package to arrive, I stayed off my feet as much as possible and iced the injured knee several times a day. My big hope was simply to avoid tearing the cartilage further before the stuff came. (With my surgery knee, I had re-torn it repeatedly before surgery.) The minute that I put that Inferno wrap around my bad knee, I was in love! The penetrating warmth felt amazing. I kept it by my desk and strapped it on when I would sit and work at the computer. And I kept icing the knee. Within a couple weeks I was walking evenly on both legs, if gingerly lest I inadvertently twist or bounce. But I was definitely healing. I didn't miss any work after the first week, though I moved more slowly than usual and occasionally felt that piercing reminder of the tear. I had to lie down and elevate my knee every two hours to get through the day, but it was slowly healing. Four weeks later I was feeling so good, and the day was so sunny, that I went skipping off the front porch and was reminded I have a torn meniscus! And so it goes to this day, some six weeks later: the injury is there, but it is gradually improving. The more I use the therapy devices, the faster it improves. The more I get lazy and feel perfect and neglect them, the more I slow down. But I work a full schedule without breaks and only occasionally am reminded of the injury. By God's grace and with many thanks to Mend Me Shop, I have avoided surgery! Gratefully yours, Debbie Morgan

More Facts About Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

In 2003 the US Department of Labor reported 23 days as the average number of work days missed due to CTS Ė costing over $2 billion a year.

There is little medical evidence yet proving that carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by repetitive movements.

If youíre unable to tell the difference between hot and cold with your hand, you might be suffering from a severe case of CTS or some other injury (ie. an impingement or ganglion cyst).

Continually using your wrist while it is injured will lead to a more serious and/or chronic injury.

In chronic cases of carpal tunnel syndrome the muscles at the base of your thumb might atrophy (waste away).

Most doctors wonít suggest surgery unless conservative treatment is tried for 6 months.

Wrist arthritis or a wrist fracture can narrow the space in your wrist that might cause carpal tunnel syndrome.

Moving your hand or shaking your wrist can temporarily help to relieve the tingling sensation or swollen feeling.

Itís common in the early stages of CTS to feel pain and numbness at night while sleeping.

Not all wrist and finger pain or finger numbness and tingling is carpal tunnel syndrome.

Only 40% of people suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome will continue to feel full pain relief 1 year after a cortisone injection.

Doctors wonít normally give someone more than 2 or 3 cortisone injections to reduce pain from CTS.

There is no clinical proof that use of computers, cell phones, PDAís, gaming systems, and other handheld devices will cause CTS.

What is a Repetitive Strain Injury /
Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI)?

Computer work requiring repetitive typing and mouse use is a leading cause of RSI.

If you're suffering from a repetitive strain injury you've probably had to face the frustration of managing your pain for weeks, months or even years. Sometimes even when you think it's been dealt with (and healed) you'll wind up with the same pain months or years later.

When you have a repetitive strain injury in your wrist you'll always be at risk of suffering from the same injury over and over again. This is because any injury caused by repetitive activity from placement of your fingers, hands, wrists, elbows, arms or shoulder is based on a long-term pattern of the way you move. This activity is triggered by movement that's on-going in your life - like a 9 to 5 desk job with extensive computer work, picking and packing parcels for 8 to 12 hours per day, or even operating heavy duty (vibrating) machinery regularly.

Many people don't know that Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) is a very real injury affecting the soft tissue in your wrist. Often affecting your dominant hand first that can be very painful and can happen to anyone. Fortunately for you, professional athletes have had access to state of the art treatment therapies for years that allow them to heal more quickly and completely than you or I. This is why athletes that have a serious wrist injury can often get back in the game in a matter of weeks while you could suffer for months or even years (in chronic cases).

With some breakthrough products we have engineered, professional treatment is now available to anyone who needs it.

What You Need to Treat Your Wrist Injury:

  • A Professional Cold Compression Freezie Wrap® to reduce inflammation of the muscle, tendon and ligament tissue (as soon as possible).
  • A Deep Tissue Therapeutic Inferno Wrap® to increase Blood Flow Stimulation Therapyto the injured soft tissue (BFST®).

Repetitive stress / strain injuries (also sometimes called repetitive motion injuries or overuse injuries. It is a general wrist injury that describes any pain, swelling and/or inflammation in your muscles, nerves and/or tendons that's caused by repetitive movement. Overuse from work, sports, or other activities you perform on a regular and or daily basis.

There are 2 types of repetitive stress injuries:

repetitive strain injury tendonitis
  • Type 1 Repetitive Stress Injuries - This is a condition that doctors and other medical professionals are able to diagnose as a specific injury based on your symptoms. With this type of RSI you will usually experience pain, swelling and inflammation in your muscles and/or tendons. For your wrist, you may have a Type 1 RSI condition that's also diagnosed as carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), wrist tendonitis (flexor tendonitis, extensor tendonitis, trigger finger, de Quervain's), wrist bursitis, elbow tendonitis (golfer's elbow, tennis elbow), or elbow bursitis.
  • Type 2 Repetitive Stress Injuries - This is a condition where you may feel pain but there's no obvious signs of swelling and/or inflammation indicating where your injury is located. You will only ever have this condition if your symptoms can't be diagnosed as a specific condition as with Type 1 RSI.

What are the Causes of Repetitive Stress Injuries?

A repetitive strain or motion injury will happen from microscopic tears in tissue (tendonitis, tendonosis or tenosynovitis), irritation of a bursa / fluid-filled sac (bursitis), or a strain to your any soft tissue in the wrist. Some of the causes of RSI include:

Carpal tunnel syndrome can be caused due to a Type 1 RSI condition
  • Repeating an activity regularly or for an extended period of time
  • A traumatic accident, direct force to your injured area or fracture
  • Anatomical factors - the natural structure of your body such as the shape or size of your carpal tunnel
  • Training or technique errors when participating in sports, exercise or other physical activities - like exercising for too long, changing your physical activity drastically too fast, or even poor form in strength training, using a golf club or tennis racket
  • Bone spurs / calcium deposits
  • Gout / crystal deposits
  • Rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis
  • Tendonitis, tendonosis, tenosynovitis - usually in your upper arm (biceps), elbow (tennis elbow, golfer's elbow), or wrist (flexor tendonitis, extensor tendonitis)
  • Bursitis - usually in your wrist, elbow or shoulder

What are the Symptoms of RSI?

Symptoms of RSI can include numbness, swelling, pain, stiffness, weakness or tingling in the hand, wrists, and fingers.

repetitive strain injury tendonitis
  • Tenderness, swelling, and redness in the affected wrist.
  • Pain when you move the hand or wrist that may cause you to wake throughout the night.
  • Stiffness in the affected hand in the muscles, tendons, joints and bones.
  • A throbbing (pulsating) sensation in the hand.
  • Pins and needles (tingling) in the hand.
  • Loss of sensation (numbness) in the hand.
  • Loss of strength in the muscle.
  • Discomfort brought on by a particular task that improves when it is stopped - i.e., when pain lessens or disappears over weekends or during holidays away from work.

Your symptoms may tend to develop slowly over time and only occur when you're doing the repetitive task. These symptoms may also seem to get better or decrease with rest. The pain can range from mild to severe, as time goes on you may notice the pain is present all the time and gets worse by doing the repetitive task or activity that's caused your injury.

How Do You Diagnose Repetitive Motion Injuries?

In most cases a doctor will perform a physical examination of wrist and hand. This physical examination will be able to help the doctor in determining if you are suffering from Type 1 or Type 2 RSI (and possible carpal tunnel syndrome). Other tests like an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) will provide your doctor with an image showing whether there is any tearing, a rupture or inflammation in any of the tissue in the affected area.

Healing Repetitive Strain Injuries -
What You Can Do!

The good news is that most cases of RSI will heal with simple home conservative treatments and surgery is often not needed!

Some conservative treatment methods recommended include:

  • Rest - This is important for initial healing because without an appropriate amount of rest you are at risk for increased inflammation, pain and re-injury of your wrist. All of which can make your wrist injury much worse or increase the amount of pressure placed on your median nerve.

  • Avoid Activities that may have caused your injury. While resting your wrist it's also important to avoid all activities that may have caused your symptoms and any repetitive hand or wrist movement. This may include reduced activities in your job if that has caused your wrist injury. Continuing on with regular activities can increase the severity of your injury, turning a mild to moderate case of carpal tunnel syndrome into serious damage of your median nerve.

  • Apply Effective Cold Compression - Immediate cold compression (using the ColdCure Technology® Wrist Freezie Wrap®) will allow you to manage pain while getting rid of swelling and inflammation. Immediate reduction in swelling can also relieve some of the pressure that is being placed on the nerve in your wrist and deal with the cause of your carpal tunnel injury.

  • Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy can provide tissue the oxygen, nutrients and anti-bodies it needs to grow healthy, strong tissue.
  • Use Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) - After swelling and inflammation has been reduced and you begin to notice a decrease in numbness and tingling from your RSI, you can use your own blood flow to maximize your rehabilitation, decrease recovery time, and boost overall long-term healing. BFST® is especially helpful in dealing with flexor or extensor tendon injuries or ongoing pain and stiffness from a sprained wrist.

  • Wear a Wrist Splint/Brace - Splinting or bracing your wrist over night or during difficult daily activities that place stress on your wrist can help to reduce your symptoms. In order to be helpful, a wrist splint should hold your wrist in a neutral position. If your wrist is held correctly in a neutral position less pressure will be placed on your median nerve and your tendons will stay in one position long enough to start the natural healing process. You have to be careful with your choice of splint though, some doctors report...

"Many commercial and even some custom-made splints fail to hold the wrists in a neutral position." (reference: WebMD)

Step 1 - Reduce Regular Activities & Rest Your Wrist

Allowing your wrist to rest is always recommended following injury. Avoid all activities that may have caused the injury or irritation and begin cold compression treatments as soon as possible. Immediate and continuous treatment with cold compression will reduce the pressure being placed on the nerve in your wrist, thereby reducing the symptoms of your carpal tunnel syndrome.

When you have pain, swelling and inflammation under control you can actually start to apply treatments with tools that will encourage healing in your wrist. Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy will treat scar tissue and promote blood flow to heal your damaged soft tissue faster and more completely than other methods available. Using these conservative treatment tools can get you back to a life without pain and eliminate any further risk of reinjury.

Step 2 - Reduce Pain & Swelling with Cold Compression

When should you use hot or cold for injuries?

The 2nd step for conservative treatment of your wrist injury is to reduce the swelling to "open up" the area for more blood flow. Anyone in the health-care business knows that your blood supplies the oxygen and much needed nutrients required for your body to heal naturally after surgery. This is why doctors and surgeons recommend cold compression therapy within the first 72 hours of an injury and following carpal tunnel release surgery.

Cold compression therapy is recommended to reduce pain, swelling and tissue damage. Many doctors, surgeons and physical therapists consider cold compression therapy to be the gold standard for treatment of inflammation and pain. On-going cold compression treatments can reduce, or even eliminate, the need for NSAIDs or other medications that can be harmful to your body.

Cold compression therapy is known and trusted by most medical professionals. This is why for years doctors, trainers and other medical professionals have recommended RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) to treat the pain and swelling of fresh injuries, chronic pain, after any re-injury, and especially after surgery.

Use a Wrist Freezie Wrap for consistent cold compression to soothe your pain, swelling and inflammation.

Although RICE can help to treat these symptoms, ice and inferior gel packs reach temperatures so low they can cause cryoburn, an ice burn on your skin. The problem is, up until now there hasn't been any other option to treat painful conditions and injuries with effective cold compression, so ice and blue gel packs (full of antifreeze and chemicals) have been the only choice up until now.

Fortunately you no longer have to settle for these ice cold methods that are uncomfortably cold against your skin, provide short term relief, cause ice burns, and numb your skin and underlying tissue beyond feeling so you don't even notice the ice burn until it's too late. You can also get rid of those cold packs that warm up soon after you pull them out of the freezer and gel that pools around your injury putting the short-term cold everywhere except for where you need it most - on your wrist injury!

The Freezie Wrap® is the cold compression tool you need for healing or post-surgical recovery to treat yourself in an effective and convenient way.

When used on a carpal tunnel injury, our Freezie Wraps® provide:

  • The highest-level of cold compression to quickly decrease pain, swelling, inflammation and draw the heat out of your wrist.
  • A tailored wrap that conforms perfectly around your wrist.
  • Effective cold compression that's unlike any other cold compression wrap out there.
  • Cold temperatures that stay right over your carpal tunnel injury for the entire length of your treatment.
  • A home-based solution with consistent (daily) cold treatments that reduces swelling fast, decreases tissue damage after injury or surgery, and opens up the vessels in and around your wrist to receive the blood flow circulation needed to heal quickly and naturally.
  • Heavier, more substantial gel packs containing a special formulation of gel - called RigiGel®.

What's RigiGel®?

RigiGel® is our trademarked name for a unique gel formula that's made out of food-grade, non-toxic material which holds the cold for an extended period of time. This specially formulated gel also features non-migrating gel technology that makes our Wrist Freezie Wrap® truly different from any other wrap available on the market.

RigiGel® is a patented formula that gives you:

When should you use hot or cold for injuries?
  • More cooling power per pound of gel than standard cold compression wraps.
  • More gel than other wraps, meaning every time you put one on it will keep your wrist cold for a longer period; pain relief is enhanced and swelling is better controlled.

Our special RigiGel® packs can be chilled in the fridge or freezer to tailor the amount of cold that you need for your injury. It doesn't matter how you cool it down, because our gel packs are chock full of gel that's designed to cool down into millions of tiny snowflakes. This method of cooling means our gel packs aren't icy-cold, just perfectly cold enough to give you the most effective cold compression available.

The cushioned gel will wrap around your wrist and it won't budge for the entire treatment period. You'll no longer have to deal with annoying pooling around your wrist or have to hold a hard block of ice on your injury!

Effective Cold Compression Therapy slows nerve and cell function - reducing the swelling that blocks blood vessels from doing their job.

Success Stories

This is important because once blood vessels are blocked or damaged, they can no longer carry oxygenated blood through the tissue and tissue cells begin to break-down. Without cold compression therapy cellular break-down and tissue damage continues as the cells don't get the oxygen they need to survive. By limiting the amount of damage done to the tendons in your wrist, you also limit the amount of healing that needs to occur. This is a very important step to heal wrist injuries faster and with less pain! This is why you need to treat your carpal tunnel wrist pain right after it's hurt, when you notice pain / swelling / inflammation, or directly after a re-injury. Applying a Wrist Freezie Wrap® right away will stop the damage immediately and unblock your blood vessels to let your body's natural blood flow in to start healing the tissue.

The Freezie Wrap® = Effective Cold Compression Therapy

It'll seem weird for you to read this, but there are a LOT of people out there that don't understand how fast cold compression with a Freezie Wrap® can get the swelling / inflammation in your wrist under control! After you get rid of the swelling for good you can start dealing with your wrist injury and pain head on.

Use a Cold Compression Wrist Freezie Wrap®:

  • 24 to 72 hours after your initial injury or when you first notice pain and swelling to stop cellular damage, relieve pain, and decrease swelling.
  • After exercise, workouts or activity of any kind to prevent re-injury.
  • Before and after surgery during rehabilitation to control pre and post-surgery pain and swelling.
  • Anytime you feel your wrist starting to get tender, painful or swollen again.
  • Anytime you have swelling, sharp throbbing pain or inflammation.
  • Any other situation where you need to draw the pain and inflammation out of your wrist.

Step 3 - Improve Circulation, Soften Scar Tissue & Prevent Re-Injury with Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy

healing your carpal tunnel syndrome

There are a lot of people that think their carpal tunnel injury is gone after their swelling and inflammation are gone and their wrist feels better. They also make the mistake of returning to regular activities too soon without proper time for healing. The truth is that healing takes time and after the swelling is gone your wrist injury isn't even close to being fully healed.

After the inflammation in and around your wrist has been reduced, providing extra blood flow and strengthening the tissue in and around your thumb and wrist is recommended. Believe it or not, the best time for you to focus on avoiding re-injury and strengthening the weakened tissue in your hand is when the swelling's gone and your wrist has started to heal. It's vital that you don't go back to activities too soon because you might bring on a major setback in your recovery...

  • Have you recently re-injured your wrist by returning to your normal daily activities too quickly?
  • How many times in the past have you aggravated your wrist just trying to perform basic tasks around your house?
  • Is your wrist preventing you from work or activities you love to do?

If this sounds like you - You're not alone...

Most people we deal with tell us these scenarios have happened to them many times in the past. The real challenge is how to promote blood flow to your injured wrist and hand without causing further damage. This goal is even more complicated by the fact that you have to use your hand for almost everything in everyday life.

What can you do to actually start healing your wrist injury?

The answer is simple. Your body can heal itself and it's the blood in your body that makes it all happen. Your blood is how everything that's good inside of you is transported directly to your injured carpal tunnel and surrounding tissue. Your blood carries oxygen, nutrients, water and antibodies right to the source of your injury and pain. Bringing proper blood flow to your injured wrist is essential to healing.

Using Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®), will help with your post-surgical recovery. BFST® increases the amount of blood that flows naturally to your soft tissue to nourish your wrist, improving elasticity and decreased the rate of further degeneration.. This increased Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy to your damaged meniscus is greatly needed flush out the toxins and avoid re-injury once and for all.

Promoting blood flow to your wrist to help your body heal itself is a concept that has been utilized for centuries. Oxygen and nutrients, carried within the blood, are critical for the body to heal itself. Without proper blood flow, your recovery from any soft tissue injury will be delayed... sometimes for a very long period of time.

Even though the concept is simple, improving blood flow to your wrist while it's injured can be difficult. Traditional methods require you to move in order to promote blood flow - but that same motion that promotes blood flow can also make your pain and or compress the nerves even more giving you just more pain. Relying on movement alone to increase blood flow puts you in danger of re-injuring your wrist.

So what do you do when you need to increase blood flow, but you can't move without re-injuring your wrist?

This is where the Wrist Inferno Wrap® and Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) come in!

Use a Wrist Inferno Wrap to increase blood flow and stimulate tissue growth.

Using Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®), will help with your recovery and heal your wrist more completely. BFST® increases the amount of blood that flows naturally to your soft tissue to nourish your wrist and hand, improving elasticity and speeding the healing process. This increased Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy to your damaged tissues is greatly needed to complete your healing and avoid re-injury once and for all.

The only way to get BFST® is through use of a Wrist Inferno Wrap®.

The Wrist Inferno Wrap® is the only treatment method that improves blood flow and circulation on a deep tissue level. Other methods of warming / heating tissue (hot water bottles, hot baths, etc) will only ever increase blood flow on a surface / skin level. These methods need a LOT of time to even reach your damaged tendons/ligaments on a deep tissue level. And even if you were to use them this long your skin would heat up to an uncomfortable level and it may even burn you.

The best source of heat treatment is from a product where you don't even feel that much heat. When you don't feel the heat, it means the therapy is working in your deep soft tissue which is really where you need it. It's kind of like how your heart works in your body. You can't "feel" your heart pumping blood all around your body to your arms and legs. You can't even hear your own heartbeat without listening very closely. This is exactly how deep tissue BFST® works too! You're not supposed to "feel" a lot of heat because the heat isn't treating your skin, it's treating the damaged tissue in your wrist by increasing the blood flow right in your soft tissue.

When should you use hot or cold for injuries?
  • When treating any soft tissue injury, an effective therapy will increase blood flow to the injury while the joint is immobile.
  • This increase in blood flow will accelerate the body's own ability to heal itself.
  • The Wrist Inferno Wrap® is the most highly effective blood flow stimulation device that you will find on the market that is approved by the FDA for use in the home or hospital.

How Does the Wrist Inferno Wrap® Promote BFST®?

Every Inferno Wrap® contains a patented Energy Web® that's flexible and shaped to conform around your wrist. The Energy Web® provides a uniform wave of healing electromagnetic energy over the entire treatment area. This energy travels deep inside your soft tissue to stimulate blood flow on the deep tissue level where it's needed to heal your injury. It's the electromagnetic energy provided provided by our Inferno Wraps® that's crucial to the healing process.

Electromagnetic energy increases blood flow on a deep tissue level.

Electromagnetic energy is the only way to get your blood flow moving on a deep tissue level for these reasons:

  • Electromagnetic energy waves are not heat waves.

  • When emitted from the Inferno Wrap®, electromagnetic energy waves penetrate right through your skin and fat layers until they get to your damaged tissue.
  • Once these energy waves reach your injured wrist, they're absorbed and quickly converted into heat energy right at the location of your injury
  • The idea of electromagnetic energy waves is slowly catching on in North American, but the truth is, it's a technology that's been used for decades

Many people just don't know that over the past 30 years, researchers in Japan and China have completed extensive studies on the use of electromagnetic energy for healing and their findings have been impressive. Success has been reported in studies from countries like Sweden and Germany. Research is continuing and soon, much of North American will know what the Far East and Europe has known for a long time...

Electromagnetic energy provides a wide range of health benefits for those not only suffering from a carpal tunnel syndrome, but for many other soft tissue injuries as well.

Regular treatment with the electromagnetic energy in our Inferno Wraps® will ensure:

  • Your pain will be reduced.
  • Your injured wrist tissue will heal at an accelerated rate with reduced potential for re-injury.
  • Your wrist and hand will have a larger range of motion and increased extensibility of collagen tissue in your joint and around your meniscus. (Chapter 9 of "Therapeutic Heat and Cold", 4th edition. (amazon.com link - Ed. Justus F. Lehmann, M.D., Williams, and Wilkin)

Electromagnetic Energy = Increased Blood Flow = More Oxygen, More Nutrients and Less Toxins = Faster Healing

Our Inferno Wraps® are uniquely patented designs that are better than other alternatives out there for more than just the electromagnetic energy they provide! Our wraps are made from medical-grade material - this should be as important to you as it is to us. Other products that are sold in stores are considered "consumer goods" meaning the material only needs to be as good as a sweater that you wear. Clothing articles like this don't need to meet high standards of production or materials and may include materials that irritate your skin.

Since our wraps are medical-grade products registered with the FDA, they are of a higher quality and need to meet way more standards for manufacturing (ISO 10993 - biocompatibility testing). This makes our wraps the safest product to increase blood flow circulation.

Our manufacturer has spent years perfecting the wrap design to make sure you get the treatment you deserve!

Use the BFST® Wrist Inferno Wrap®:

  • After swelling and inflammation have been reduced with cold compression.
  • Before exercise, workouts or any repetitive tasks to warm up the soft tissue in your wrist to prevent re-injury.
  • Before and after surgery during rehabilitation to warm up your tissues before physical therapy exercising or stretching.
  • Anytime you feel your wrist has stiffened up, is tight and your mobility is reduced causing you more pain.
  • Anytime you have sore or aching tissue.
  • Any other situation where you need to increase blood flow to your wrist to relax your soft tissue, relieve pain, prevent re-injury and enhance flexibility.

Continue the healing process by resting your wrist. Limit the activities that may be aggravate your wrist. Without proper rest and limitation on activities, being active as if your wrist is healthy can lead to re-injury. Our hands give us the ability to perform both large and small complex motor skills - like picking up a heavy object or doing fine, detailed work. We often need both of these skills to perform everyday tasks like working on a computer, cleaning, putting away groceries, gardening, or playing sports. To get back to doing the things you love you need to give your body proper care and attention. Why risk having to limit or give up your favorite weekend activity, your exercise routine, or even your job due to a carpal tunnel injury?

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Facts

CTS is the result of nerves in your wrist getting squeezed by thickened/injured tendons in your wrist or hand.

According to the American College of Rheumatology, carpal tunnel syndrome affects 4 to 10 million Americans.

Women are 3 times more likely than men to develop CTS.

People are generally at a higher risk of developing CTS between the ages of 45 and 54.

The carpal tunnel space in the wrist is smaller in women than men.

Those with diabetes or other metabolic disorders that directly affect their nervous system may be at a higher risk of getting carpal tunnel syndrome.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is probably the most common nerve disorder experienced today.

Approximately 3.7% of individuals in the US suffer from CTS.

Usually carpal tunnel syndrome will only affect one hand, but it can affect both hands at the same time.

Children usually donít suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome.

Medications mask the pain but do very little in the healing of CTS.

Dear MendMeShop,

Dear Paul, I wanted to e-mail you and let you know how things are going. In your last e-mail to me you made a very profound statement that I had never heard before. I have been to several doctors over the past 10 years and not any one of them ever told me that snapping hip syndrome was a manifestation of short leg syndrome. I truly think that many of my problems are layers that have had to have been slowly peeled away to find out what the problem is that is causing each and every one of them. I thought about the statement that you made and I applied it. Several years back I had a chiropractor tell me that I had short leg syndrome and that I had fallen arches in my right foot and leg. He ordered me an orthotic and a lift to make up the difference. My foot hurt all the time and my right hip hurt all the time and so I stoppd wearing them. A few years later I discovered that I had a bad right ovary. Once I had a doctor that agreed that it was bad and removed it and all that pain went away I was left with my right foot hurting. I found arch supports that made that better but then I had the bursitus and snapping hip syndrome symptoms. No Doctor knew what to do for me and basically tried to give me pain medication to cover it up. I don't want to cover anything up. I want to find the root of the problem and treat it. So, I got to thinking about your statement. (I know it seems like I am going around this same tree, but I will get there) My thought was that because of the pain I was suffering from my ovary, maybe with that all gone I should try the lifts again and see what happens. I am telling you...that one little statement you made took care of my bursitis and my snapping hip syndrome. I am no longer suffering from any of that. I am sleeping well at night. Thank you for your statement. You just don't know how much that has meant to me. You don't know me, you have never met me but you literally saved the quality of my life. It took me a few days after I read your e-mail to put two and two together so to speak but it was worth trying again. Thank you so much.

Dear MendMeShop,

Dear Sir, I am writing to let everyone know how wonderfully the Inferno Wrap works! I'd been suffering with plantar fascitis for a month, I tried a splint, shoe inserts, rest, ice, stretching. It was improving, oh so slowly. However, once I got my Inferno Wrap, everything changed and within two days I was walking on my foot! I still get pain after being on my feet all night at work, and reapply the Wrap when I go home and am good to go again. It's a miracle! The fact that you have a money back guarantee makes it so safe to purchase. Thank you again, Loretta
